The planting of Spring bulbs in Memory of Marie

Story

Marie absolutely loved nature. It brought her great peace. She loved being in her garden and planting for the next season. She really loved flowers. This was evident in her gardening; in pressing and preserving them; the various vases in her home and in her flower arranging. She loved freesias, peonies and sweet pea, to name but a few. She loved the arrival of the snowdrops and daffodils. These are a few of the reasons why I thought planting spring bulbs in her honour by those who loved her was a fitting tribute. May the bulbs you plant bring you hope through the darks days of these first few months and through Winter. When the blooms arrive in Spring, may they remind you of Marie smiling at her own work each year as her flowers arrived. May they remind you that there is beauty in this world despite the heartbreak. May the colours remind you of Marie's love of colour and her warmth and vibrancy. I really hope they make you smile. I hope they make you pause and reflect. I like to think of gardens across Ireland bursting into colour in her honour.
